The Holidays are coming up
We will miss your wearing the
Turkey net
Upon your lovable, white head.
You always made us smile and
laugh
While we were cooking the
festive spread.
It's the first Thanksgiving
without you
I really kind of dread
a holiday without you
You added so much with the things you did and said.
I miss you more each day it seems
This is not how we dreamed our dreams
Of growing old together.
I know you are now with our Lord
But still I miss your Graces at every meal
your every word
That you said to me in the beautiful
Greeting cards.
I recall the strength and warmth
of holding your hand
And I will forever wear our Wedding bands
Until we meet again in Beulah Land...
I look at photos of your happy face
Your smiles follow me every place
In frames around the rooms.
I am thankful for the Love we shared
For fifty two wonderful years.
And though I am shedding "miss you" tears
I know a Guardian Angel now appears
calming all of my fears.
I love you Bill... ♥
